Independence Day 2016 celebrations

A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people.  – Mahatma Gandhi.

Day:  Monday, 15th August 2016 | Venue: Rasalpur Baghla, Samstipur, India

Sanskriti Foundation was formally launched on Tuesday, 16th August 2016, that also happens to be Princess Sanskriti’s Birthday. However, works and services of the missionary organization (yet to be registered) began about 2 years ago and continued in small packages.

Children in the village initiated Prabhat Pheri on the eve of 70th Independence day of the republic of India. They raised slogans with unprecedented enthusiasm and incredible valor while taking rounds of 5 villages in the neighborhood starting 1:45 am and finishing only by 5:30 in the morning. The passion and energy among these children was exemplary. In their slogans, children remembered the Freedom Fighters for the gift of an Independent Nation by hailing and applauding them. The event completely moved me.

Sanskriti Foundation celebrated the occasion with a simple yet sincere function. . Honorable Sri Hari Narayan ji, Chief Guest on the occasion hoisted the flag followed by National Anthem sung by Sudha, Kalpana, Suruchi, Rabinder, Nitish and chorus. The event continued with programs that included a series of patriotic songs with the likes of  ‘Nanha Munha rahi hoon’ by Ajit Kumar, ‘Jara yaad karo kurbani’ by Dolly and Pooja and many more. Children also delivered speeches on the value of national independence. Honorable Chief Guest inspired all the noble beings present with his insights and experiences on the significance of freedom and how each one of us can contribute to the nation by being a responsible citizen.

After many years I cherished and re-lived those school days’ moments with these souls in their pure form. What reverberates still in my ears are slogans of:
Bharat Mata ki Jai! Bharat Mata ki Jai!
Mahatma Gandhi ki Jai!
Bhagat Singh ki Jai!
Bharat Mata ki raksha kaun karega?
hum karenge, hum karenge!

Long Live India!
Long Live All Countries!
Long Live humanity!
