Day143: Mission 70 Accomplished.

Sunday, 31-Mar-2013; 9:30pmSector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata A journey of 6 months ends today. Quitely…. Peacefully….. and Without any action. Yes, I had made a public commitment 6 months ago (on 13-Oct-2013), that I will reduce my body weight from 84 Kgs to 70 Kgs by healthy means and the deadline I had set for accomplishing this extremely important task of mine was 31st March 2013 i.e today. I feel pleased and happy to declare that: I have accomplished my Target Weight of 70 Kgs today. yes, Mission 70 is Accomplished!! Well! I must say, it’s been a rewarding journey. Today, I reveal one secret goal behind M70. More than attaining the 70 Kg feat, my (top) goal was (and is) always to attain higher levels of fitness. I always wanted to gain such a healthy state that I feel energetic, enthusiastic, passionate, interested, ever smiling, cheerful and yes a Charismatic individual 24X7. I wanted to grow my immunity power to the maximum level, free myself from any disease, I wanted to become an individual who would become role model, first for self and then for others as well. 70 Kg was a mere benchmark I had set, say as some destination and what was more crucial was the journey throughout to reach the coveted destination. Yes, today I feel happy and satisfied.  My Motivation: My Doll. My Wife....

Day142: Mission 70 (Penultimate Day): “You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget that errand.” –Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the United States

Saturday, 30 March 2013; 10:00pmSector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata Shed your past. Release your limits. No longer argue for why you can’t have/do/become all you want. Today’s a fresh day. You’ve been blessed with a new chance. To think better. To behave higher. To risk + stretch + excel + dream. And so my great encouragement for you is that you walk out into this day and live with audacity/ possibility/ mastery and model the best of your humanity. These are my sincere wishes. All green lights.                                                                                                                               Robin Sharma  Great lines by a great human being. Robin, you are doing a great deed and I adore you for that. I am and will follow your (my) path and the greatest mission of my life has become to make lives for at least one person better by motivating, inspiring, and engaging them to do worthwhile things. Day141: “Work without love is slavery.” ― Mother Teresa

Friday, 29 March 2013; 11:05pmSector 5, Salt Lake, Kolkata Seven Deadly Sins Wealth without workPleasure without conscienceScience without humanityKnowledge without characterPolitics without principleCommerce without moralityWorship without sacrifice.                                                              – Mahatma Gandhi It was quite a busy day at work. I kick started on a major project which might bring more revenue to my organization in the longer run; We may win a series of Projects from our customer based on my current deliverables. Well! bigger responsibility Narendra. Make your shoulders stronger Man. 🙂 Although its luxurious leaving in a 3 star facility Guest house (GH), only challenge I find is the food. Most of the food served here are not health friendly and that is one of the reasons I prefer staying in own accommodation. I am sick of all this oil rich food, maida made ‘chapatis’ , ‘pooris’, and  ‘rumali rotis’. I have started disliking the ‘chickens’ and the ‘eggs’ to great extent. It has all happened in the last 2 days of my stay here. I wish I could have some plain and least oily food on a trot. I will certainly make ways to improve on it for the rest of my stay here in GH. This morning, I started the day with a mix of cardios and weights exercises (M70: M6W23D55). Final 2 days into M70. I am going to reveal the final outcome on...

Day140: I’m sick of people sittin’ in chairs stating their problems. Then we roll the videotape… then we have our experts on the topic… I’m in the ‘What’s next?’ phase of my career. – Oprah Winfrey

Thursday, 28 March 2013; 7:17pmSector 5, Salt Lake, Kolkata I started the day (M70: M6W2354) with an hour of exercise at the Gym facility near the campus guest house here. Well! am enjoying the hospitality received at the Guest house. At office, I met my project friends with whom I had been working virtually (from remote location) for almost 4 months. They were happy to see me and so was I. I did work for some 1 hour today and rest of the time went in familiarizing with people, arranging for my desktop, getting my new local number etc. The big boss here offered me leadership and more of client facing roles. I feel ready for the next challenge because no person on this earth can grow in his comfortable zone. You have to accept challenges at face value and overcome them. You may falter, fall on the way but that’s part of the whole learning and growing process. I call it a day to devote some time to my new found hobby of reading book, looking forward to finish reading the leader who had no title this week.  Good Night and Keep Rocking Narendra Gupta...

Day139: “If you want to write, you can. Fear stops most people from writing, not lack of talent. Who am I? What right have I to speak? Who will listen to me? You are a human being with a unique story to tell. You have every right.” – Richard Rhodes

Wed/Thu, 27/28 March 2013; 11:30pm Sector 5, Salt Lake, Kolkata, WB Hope you had a nice Holi celebration with your family and friends. I had no option but felt the excitement of Holi over the phone when I was talking with my loved ones.  A little while ago, I was watching a free webinar on writing books. It was an interview with noted motivational speaker and author Brian Tracy, related to a course on  “How to write a Book and become a published Author” . It encouraged me one step further in my Vision (and Goal) of writing a Book oneday (for sure). Here is the Link for you to motivate yourselves to writing a book.  Once again, on this public forum I make yet another commitment: “I will write a book which will be published in the next 5 years time” ……Narendra Gupta                                            Time of Commitment: 11:58pm,27 March 2013.   Deadline: 11:58pm, 27 March 2018   Well!, let me confess at this stage, I do not have any idea what will be the title of my book without much clarity on the contents, though I wish to bring positive and meaningful changes in the lives of thousands, possibly millions of people around the world. I will come up more on this later. Okay, moving on, the latest update is..I landed safely in Kolkata today. It was...
