Know Me

Hello Friend!! How are you doing today? I hope this page finds you in the best of health and Thank you for stopping by my site 🙂 My name is Narendra Gupta.   I am a simple, soft-spoken, hardworking, diligent, lazy, in-consistent, short-tempered (at times :)) human being who wishes to Live Big. I am an introvert at heart with traces of extravertness which pops up at times. I love writing, though not a (W)riter, have been writing for past 10 years in my journals for self. I wish someday my daughter will read my life all those years. I represent a commoner with nothing extra-ordinary. I wish to express my inspirations to the world and the fact that if I can do it, anyone can. I would be more than happy if my life inspires even a single person on earth 🙂 Apart from this, I enjoy cooking, reading books (self-help), and yes, wish to start gardening sometimes in the near future for I love greenery. Education: I belong to a small town called Bokaro in Jharkhand, India. Did my early schooling in BIV 6A followed by DPS Bokaro. Completed my Under Grads in Engineering in the Year 2007 at CUSAT, Kochi. Pursued my Masters, an MS in HR Mgmt from Aston Business School, Birmingham, UK. I was an above average student at School and College though I...

Day173: “Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration of the life you deserved.” – Ayn Rand.

Saturday; 25 May 2013; 11:52pmRabindrapally, Krishnapur, Kolkata This morning I published my Seventh which is also my last but one poem I had written in my early years immediately after school. You may read it here ऐसा हो मेरा परिवार . Feeling sleepy. Will connect with you all tomorrow. With Love and Best Wishes, Narendra...

My Classics: Poem 7: ऐसा हो मेरा परिवार

My Classics: Poem Corner    A happy family is but an earlier heaven. John Bowring  Today, I present to you my Seventh Poem in the series of Eight Poems I had written in my early years. This poem is my concept of an ideal family. Well! No family is perfect…we argue, we fight, we even stop talking to each other at times but in the end family is family, the love will always be there.  Our family is a circle of strength and love. Lisa Weedn has rightly said “Being a family means you are part of something very...

Day172: “Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.” – Unknown

Friday, 24 May 2013; 10:30pmRabindrapally, Krishnapur, Kolkata While I am still recuperating from my illness, have been on rest since last one week, I utilized this period to read 2 self-empowerment books. The first of the two books is called ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull – a story’ by Richard Bach and the second one is the classic ‘As you think’ by James Allen written over 100 years ago. Both these books carry extremely powerful messages. I will soon come up with the Book Reviews for these two books and I highly recommend each one of you reading me today reading these books.  Before I call it a day, I am sharing few lines from ‘As you Think’; Page 44; You will be what you  will be Let failure find its false content  In that poor word “environment” But spirit scorns it, and is free. It masters time, it conquers space, It cows that boastful trickster, Chance And bids the tyrant circumstance Uncrown, and take a servant’s place The human Will, that force unseen, The offspring of a deathless Soul, Can hew a way to any goal, Though walls of granite intervene Be not impatient in delay, But waits as one who understands; When spirits rises and commands, The gods are ready to obey. Absolutely stunning! isn’t it? Good Night  Narendra Gupta ...

Day171: “It shouldn’t be easy to be amazing. Then everything would be. It’s the things you fight for and struggle with before earning that have the greatest worth. When something’s difficult to come by, you’ll do that much more to make sure it’s even harder–or impossible– to lose.” – Sarah Desen, Along for the `Ride.
