होली है भई होली है!!
सच है, नहीं ठिठोली है
चेहरों पर रंगोली है
देश देश में गाँव गाँव में
होली है भई होली है
पत्रिकाओं में अखबारों में
गली गली में चौबारों में
हम मस्तों की टोली है
होली है भई होली है
कहीं रंग है कहीं भंग है
बड़ी उमंग में कहीं चंग है
मौसम भी हमजोली है
होली है भई होली है
कहीं राग है कहीं फाग है
चौरस्ते होलिका आग है
ठंडाई भी घोली है
होली है भई होली है
धूप धूप में छाँह छाँह में
हर अंजुरी हर एक बाँह में
गुझिया पूरनपोली है
होली है भई होली है
ऋतुओं पर ठहरा गुलाल है
रंग रंगा हर नौनिहाल है
कोयल कूहू बोली है
होली है भई होली है
नया घाघरा नई कुर्तियाँ
नये पजामे नई जूतियाँ
चूड़ी चुनरी चोली है
होली है भई होली है

I wish a very, very Happy Holi to all my Friends, Readers, and every single Person on Earth who celebrates Holi. May the festival of colors bring more color, enthusiasm, passion, grit, determination, patience, perseverance to each one of our lives. May you and I forgive those who deserve to be forgiven, bury our ego and celebrate this short life together. Well! not only today or tomorrow but for ever. If you are with family, I am sure you will have the best of time.
One of the posts on FB related to Holi amuses me. It had pics of people celebrating Holi in different places in India. For Bangalore, it was all monotonous, working in front of this 14 inch screen, yes sadly but true, it is not a Holiday here. Due to an urgent business requirement, I am traveling to Kolkata tomorrow for 2 weeks. So half of my Holi will be in Bangalore and the other half in Kolkata 🙂
