Let me present one of my favorite childhood poems before I begin writing for the day. Do sing when you read these lines ๐Ÿ™‚
Jingle Bell Jingle Bell!
Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O’er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

A day or two ago
I thought I’d take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh yeah

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Whenever I listen to these beautiful lines, I often go into a slightly nostalgic mode.  Memories of childhood days, those of Gifts, families and friends and specifically, memories of Santa Claus, flood my mind. As a child and like many other children, I had a firm belief that Santa was real. I used to picture Santa riding on a sledge far way in snow (somewhere in Europe or any other cold country) and he would come to our houses (even in India :P) with presents. I grew up with this belief for many years until I joined my secondary classes. Ohh…those innocent, innocuous beliefs, sometimes wish to live all those notions once again …at least for few moments……. ๐Ÿ˜
Christmas is one such festival which is not restricted to a religion, people from different cultures and walks of life celebrate this festival with much enthusiasm and fervor. We celebrated Christmas in office by decorating our ODC with Christmas tree, balloons and many other fancy items. One of the fellow colleague entertained the audience by becoming Santa, distributing chocolates and Gifts. This was followed by some fun games and cake cutting. I am sure most of you would have celebrated in a similar manner.

Today (M-70: M3W10D23), I broke the jinx of almost 2 weeks of not-going to Gym. Since I was unable to make it to the Gym in the morning slot after long tiring days at office (for past 2 weeks), I decided to take some time off in the evening, before the daily sync up call with the (US) client at 7:30pm (their morning 9:00am). It worked for me today. I am not sure if I will be able to make it everyday amidst high volume of work in the next one month, will do best to take out some time for exercises. 30-40 minutes (3-4 days/week) will do good. The happy news is that I can feel the difference in my body now, I feel lighter, I have come down to 77 Kgs (from 84Kgs) in last 3 months, another 7 Kgs in next 3 months would be my target. Nothing but Consistency is the key.
Through this forum, I wish all my friends and readers, a very Happy and Merry Christmas. May the ultimate Santa, who is controlling all of us from above, present life to the Delhi Girl who is fighting a valiant battle (for her life), and who has become victim of some in-excusable, in-human crime of few animals. That would be the best Gift for all of we Indians and humanity as whole.
